Leadership Resources
As a younger leader, I’ve been trying to learn from wiser and more experienced leaders out there. Here’s a page devoted to the very best resources I’ve seen. Many of these have to do with church planting, an endeavor very analogous to starting a new campus ministry.

Books
Organic Disciplemaking -Dennis McCallum
If there’s one book that I could make required reading for all Christian leaders, it would be this one. It walks you through the process of helping believers grow into mature disciples and addresses common pitfalls that can happen along the way. While the Master Plan of Evangelism is a great introductory book, Organic Disciplemaking hammers out many of the details and specifics that need to be in place to help Christians become self-feeding leaders capable of mentoring others. I wish I had read this book years ago.
The Reason for God – Tim Keller
Our culture has several major objections to Christianity, and for the most part Christians have not been able to give very good answers. Tim Keller outlines some thoughtful and compelling responses to the biggest questions of our time, including “How could a loving God allow suffering?” and “How could there be just one true religion?” Whether or not you believe in God, this book will give you a lot to think about.
Visioneering – Andy Stanley
This book arrived in my life right when I needed it. It explains several crucial elements of bringing a vision into reality, notably the need for a God-inspired conviction and a willingness to be patient as you wait on God to develop the right heart in you. It’s different from other entrepreneurial advice in that Andy stresses that the end goal of your vision is always to glorify God, not simply achieve a human-made effort. Through this book, I learned a new definition of success: obedience to God regardless of results.
